Do I have to turn on my Christmas lights every night?
No. We test & set our lights to be controlled by timers, recommended from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. but this is entirely your preference. In addition, our clients receive a wireless remote putting control in your hands from the comfort of your pj’s on the couch, in front of chestnuts roasting on an open flame. Jack Frost won’t nip your nose!
When should I schedule my Christmas light installation?
Inquiries for Christmas lights start in September – believe it or not! Clients start booking installations beginning October 1st & our schedule typically fills by mid-November. You can get a date you prefer for installation the sooner you call. Contact R & O early in the season to get the most enjoyment out of your investment.
How much does it cost?
Each display is customized to the needs of the client & we present options as part of our design consultation. Cost is dependent upon several factors including the complexity of the display, linear square footage, length of time to complete the project, etc. In addition to roof line lights, we also install lighting on trees, shrubs, sidewalks, window/door outlines, etc.
Is there a difference between your holiday lights & those for sale at discount retailers?
There is no comparison, you get what you pay for. Our products are manufactured to higher standards, with longer-life bulbs, more flexibility, and energy efficiency. Retail products have their place but they cannot provide the stunning results from a custom installation.
How long does the install take & do I need to be home for the service?
It really depends on the complexity of the project & size of the property. Generally, between a few hours to a full day in most residential applications. You don’t need to be home for the install in most cases but we cannot give you a quote or design consultation without your presence at the property.
Do we rent the décor or do we own it?
Each installation is customized for the property – all lighting, equipment, & greenery is yours. Let us know if you’d like to add on an off-site storage package to make your Christmas lighting process completely stress free.
We already own Christmas lights. Can you install them for us?
If you previously purchased customized, commercial-grade lights from a holiday lighting professional we can install them. They must be lights on a single, continuous strand – we do not install lights purchased from retail outlets. Also, we cannot provide any service warranty on lighting or products we do not sell & install.
Do you remove my holiday lights as well?
Absolutely! R & O is dedicated to customer satisfaction. We provide beautiful Christmas displays with turnkey service – including all necessary materials, installation, testing, setting timers, and removal. Take-downs typically start January 2nd & are included in your price for both new installations & rehangs.
When do the decorations get removed?
We schedule removals starting January 2nd & work with clients to book a time convenient for you.
What happens if there’s a problem with my Christmas lights?
Contact us ASAP so we can schedule one of our qualified installers to troubleshoot the issue(s).
Do we need an electrician?
Most residential installations don’t require any electrical services.
Are there any hidden charges?
No, our cost includes installation, removal, & all necessary materials. We only require sufficient power availability from the property owner.
